Charming Stay with Room for Improvement
We had a lovely night, but the shower had some stray hair when we arrived. The atmosphere was inviting, and we truly enjoyed the on-site restaurant’s brunch! Just be sure to check the room size if you have a specific need. A little more attention to cleanliness wouldn’t hurt.

Just a fitting option for a short stay in Detroit with incredible value for money. The room was nice and clean, which I appreciated after a long day. If possible, ask for a quiet room away from any pet noises.

Stunning, Stunning, Stunning
From the moment I stepped into my Superior King Room, I was blown away by the high-quality finishes and expansive city views through the large windows. The unique Shinola turntable in my room made my stay even more special, cranking out some smooth tunes. The cozy courtyard was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring—absolutely loved every moment!

The hotel was vibrant and family-friendly, making our stay enjoyable. The kids loved exploring nearby attractions like The Brakeman, which offers a fun atmosphere with refreshing drinks on tap. The staff catered to our needs, which was a relief with five children in tow.
In my children’s opinion, it would be great if there were more kid-friendly areas throughout the hotel, especially for younger kids to play safely.

Couples looking for a chic getaway
My wife and I really loved the comfy beds and the super clean bathrooms during our stay. I mean, our suite had a nice vibe , and the hardwood floors gave it that classy feel.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive but overall still fine for what you get.

Loved the unique decor and the stunning lobby. The room had a comfortable bed. however, I noticed the pillows showed some wear and weren’t as plush as expected. We had a great experience at San Morello—the atmosphere and food were top-notch. Valet service was smooth, but there was a long wait for assistance upon check-out. Unfortunately, the heating system in the room could not keep up with the cold temperatures outside, making it hard to stay comfortable. Appreciated the friendliness of the staff, who went out of their way to help. Would suggest improvements in soundproofing and updating some room furnishings for a better experience.

The Superior King Room was really cool. Super comfy king bed and those Bluetooth speakers were a fun touch. Plus, loved the shower—definitely one of the standout features. However, it could get pretty noisy from traffic on Woodward, so light sleepers might want to be aware of that. Also, I wish there was a coffeemaker in the room, that would’ve been nice.

Exceptional staff and beautiful aesthetic
I recently stayed here for one night and was blown away by the beautiful design and artistic details throughout the hotel. The staff was outstanding and very welcoming, and they accommodated my early check-in, which was greatly appreciated. The only drawback was the noise from the street outside, making it a bit difficult to get a good night's sleep.
